Cobham has applied its extensive GPR experience to the next-generation of stand-off detection systems, which remove the operator out of harm's way by mounting GPR-based detection systems onto Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV) or other tactical robotic platforms. The QuadPack system operates on the same low-burden principles offered by Cobham's hand-held MINEHOUND Explosive Ordnance Detector (EOD) GPR technology, maintaining the philosophy that the capability should be easy to train and operate.
In use, the Cobham QuadPack provides a steady stream of detection data which is displayed via a simple and intuitive wireless user interface. A number of QuadPacks can be networked together to form an array covering the width of larger manned or unmanned vehicles.
